Beaches — Montenegro

Bečići Beach

The long sandy waterfront stretches from Zavala towards Rafailovići and is divided into several public and hotel bathing areas. Before choosing a section of beach, check access, the rules of that particular bathing area and the water conditions that day.

Jaz Beach

Jaz is a cove west of Budva with two sections of waterfront. The surface combines pebbles on the beach and sand in the water, but the entry to the sea is not the same along the entire coast. Before choosing your spot for the day, look at access, the waves and where you can take a break from the sun.

Mogren Beach

Mogren consists of two connected coves immediately west of the Old Town. A coastal path leads to them from the direction of Avala, making this a good choice when you want to combine swimming with a short walk beside the rocks.

Slovenska Beach

Slovenska Beach is Budva's main town waterfront and stretches between the town harbour and Hotel Park. The promenade, sports courts and wide range of amenities make it practical when you want everything within easy reach.

Ričardova glava Beach

Ričardova glava, also known as Brijeg od Budve, lies against the Old Town walls. The small waterfront has a distinctly urban character: the sea is literally beside the stone ramparts, while cafés and a stroll are just a few steps away.

Pizana Beach

Pizana is a small pebble beach at the northeastern edge of the Old Town, below Repeno Tower. Its main appeal is its location: from the water you can see the ramparts, the marina and Sveti Nikola Island.

Rafailovići Beach

The beach area of Rafailovići continues onto the Bečići shore, alongside the village and places to eat. Choose a bathing area based on the nearest access from your accommodation and the conditions on site.

Pržno Beach

Pržno Beach lies in a bay in front of the former fishing village. The Budva Tourist Organisation describes sandy and rocky sections of the shore, so choose your access and swimming spot according to the specific part of the beach.

Kamenovo Beach

Kamenovo is a sandy beach between Bečići and Pržno, approximately 330 metres long. It lies along the Budva–Bar road, and a coastal path connects it with Bečići. Include access to the beach and the return to your accommodation in your day plan, especially if you are coming without a car.

Sveti Stefan Beaches

The east and west beaches lie along the approach to the Sveti Stefan peninsula. The Budva Tourist Organisation (TO Budva) highlights their reddish surface; check the specific rules for accessing and using the beaches before you arrive.

Buljarica Beach

Buljarica Beach is a long stretch of coast south of Petrovac. TO Budva gives a length of about 2,250 metres: the part towards Petrovac has a sandy surface, while other parts are mostly shingle and rocky. Choosing your access point and stretch of beach matters more than the name of the bay itself.

Čanj Beach — Biserna obala

Biserna obala is Čanj's main beach and the basis of most beach days in the village. The Bar Tourist Organisation describes it as a pebble shore approximately 1.2 kilometres long.

Petrovac Beach

Petrovac Beach runs along the main town waterfront and promenade. TO Budva describes reddish sand and a length of about 600 metres. Its central location lets you combine swimming with a walk to Kastio, a meal and a view of the islets of Katič and Sveta Neđelja.

Lučice Beach

Lučice is a smaller bay south of the centre of Petrovac, with a sandy shore and pines and cypresses behind it. The official description gives approximately 220 metres of beach. Choose it as a separate beach outing when you want a different setting from the main town promenade.

Veliki Pijesak Beach

Veliki Pijesak is the main beach in Dobre Vode, on the coast between Bar and Ulcinj. The Bar Tourism Organisation describes it as mostly pebbly, with sandy sections, and about 380 metres long. Its name does not mean you will find fine sand everywhere.

Uvala Maslina

Uvala Maslina is one of Utjeha's main beach spots, on the coast between Bar and Ulcinj. The Bar Tourist Organisation lists a beach about 200 metres long for this bay. The bays further south are presented separately, so choose your route according to the exact location of your accommodation.

Sutomore Beach

Sutomore's main beach runs alongside the town and a waterfront with places to eat and drink. The Bar Tourism Organisation describes a sandy beach about 1,200 metres long. Choose your section according to your accommodation, the entry into the water and the facilities you want.

Štrbine Beach

Štrbine is a smaller beach near Sutomore, separate from the main town waterfront. The Bar Tourism Organisation describes it as pebbly and about 100 metres long. Consider it for a separate beach outing once you have checked the access route.
